  • Ash Wednesday

    Bishop Phillip visited our school to lead the Ash Wednesday service, which was attended by our Year 7 pupils. He spoke about the sacrifices both Christians and Muslims make during time. During break time, the Hutton Grammar Collective performed for him in our chapel, adding to the special occasion.

  • Axia Learning Alliance Public Speaking Competition

    We were privileged to host the Axia Learning Alliance Public Speaking Competition for our local primary schools. Year 5 pupils across the area were challenged to answer the question "What is the greatest invention?" Three of our year 7 pupils started the event by presenting their ideas. Well done to all pupils involved.

  • Hutton win the Faraday Challenge!

    Hutton hosted the annual Faraday challenge, inviting Pleckgate High School, Penwortham Priory Academy, Our Lady’s RC High School and Bishop Rawstorne CofE Academy.

    The competition offers real world challenges where pupils must use their STEM skills to answer a brief. Congratulations to Jasper, Freddie, Ben, Austin, Riley and George in Year 8 who won the competition with their design of a motorised shopping trolley, and to the other competitors who were excellent challengers.

  • Christmas Service

    All year groups braved the cold to walk down to St Andrew's in Longton for our Christmas Service. It was lovely to hear from our school choir, The Hutton Collective, as they performed some Christmas hymnns. For Mrs Watson's annual game, this year, pupils were challenged to wrap either a member of their form group or their form tutor.
