Congratulations to all the Hutton students that competed at the Lancashire School Athletics Championships on Saturday. Hutton student’s secured 5 medals, 3 Golds and a Championship record.

There was also a special presentation made to Matthew Clark as he was awarded The Sheila Markendale Sportsmanship Award. The Sheila Markendale Sportsmanship Award is presented annually to an athlete who has represented Lancashire Schools at an English Schools National Event. The award recognises an athlete who has demonstrated the true spirit of sportsmanship on numerous occasions and is awarded in memory of Sheila Markendale.

The Lancashire Schools Athletics Team will be announced in the next few weeks and we will find out which Hutton school students will have the chance to complete at the English School Athletics championship due to take place in Birmingham in July.
