Work Experience
As part of the Careers Education Programme at Hutton, all Year 12 students undertake a work experience placement for one week in the summer term.
All of our Year 12 students complete a week’s placement with an employer during the second half of the summer term. Students organise their own placements after beginning their A level studies and thinking about their future career choices with support from form tutors, our independent careers adviser and our Sixth Form leadership team. Undoubtedly, work experience provides a conversation point for interviews as well as for a UCAS personal statement. Work experience can be as fun and varied as the student decides to make it.
Turning Scheme
For the first time in 2022 a selection of our sixth form students took part in the Turing Scheme. This government scheme provides funding and opportunities for students to access training and education around the world. Students were lucky enough to complete their work experience in Malaga, Spain.
