  • University Challenge - Year 12 v Year 13

    Our year 13 champions, U6R, took on our year 12 champions, L6P, in our University Challenge quiz. It was a tight contest throughout and it all came down to the final question. In the end it was year 12 who took victory - well done L6P!

    Some of our A Level geographers visited Penwortham Girls’ to promote geography A Level today. We loved visiting the school were very impressed with the girls positivity and their geography subject knowledge.They are welcome to come and see our friendly Sixth Form any time!

    Students looking at taking A level Art and Photography joined us for a taster session. Students produced some amazing work in the Sixth Form Art Studio and showed great potential to continue the subject on at A level.

  • Model UN

    We had an excellent day with 20 of our Year 12 and 13 students taking part in the inaugural UCLan Model United Nations Student Conference - a busy, challenging and rewarding experience for all involved. Huge thanks to Dr Lawrence and the team at UCLan for hosting us along with LRGS, Barrow College and Carmel College.

  • Criminology and Policing at Edgehill University

    A group of our Psychology and Sociology students had a great afternoon visiting Edge Hill University. The students were there to explore the policing and criminology courses on offer and take part in a CSI workshop. This is just one of the many career paths students may choose to follow after completing A level Psychology or Sociology.
